September 11 is remembered for the 2001 attacks on the United States, and this one-page printable comic tells the whole day in panels.
The hero story is the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, when al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four passenger airplanes in a coordinated attack on the United States. Two planes were flown into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third struck the Pentagon in Virginia, and Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, after passengers and crew fought back against the hijackers. The attacks killed 2,977 victims, and the Twin Towers collapsed. Around it are twelve more true events from the date: the revolt in Constantinople (1185), the victory at Stirling Bridge (1297), Ottoman forces leaving Malta (1565), Hudson exploring the river (1609), Cromwell capturing Drogheda (1649), the Battle of Brandywine (1777), the Pentagon's construction beginning (1941), and the military coup in Chile (1973). A Patriot Day feature and born-and-died strips close the page.
Print it for morning work, a history lesson, or a September 11 study. One page, no prep.
After checkout, your printable PDF will be delivered by email from The Wandering Pilgrims. The download link stays active for 24 hours, so please save your file when it arrives. If you need it again after the link expires, just reply to your order email and we will resend it.
