November 5 is Guy Fawkes Day, and this one-page printable comic tells the whole day in panels.
The hero story is the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when Guy Fawkes was caught guarding barrels of gunpowder beneath Parliament and a plan to kill King James I and his government was foiled. Around it are nineteen more true events from the date: the Council of Constance, William of Orange landing in England, John Hanson becoming president of Congress, the stand of HMS Jervis Bay, Voyager 2 entering interstellar space, and a strip of the U.S. presidential elections that fell on November 5. A born-and-died strip closes the page.
Print it for morning work, a history lesson, or a Guy Fawkes Day study. One page, no prep.
After checkout, your printable PDF will be delivered by email from The Wandering Pilgrims. The download link stays active for 24 hours, so please save your file when it arrives. If you need it again after the link expires, just reply to your order email and we will resend it.
